I was born in the wild rugged Rocky Mountains and somehow ended up in sunny Florida, trading snow boots for sandals. I’ve always been curious—borderline obsessive—about how things work. I started jailbreaking gadgets when I was 12 (sorry, Apple), and I’ve been tinkering, tweaking, and tearing into tech ever since.
These days, that curiosity fuels both my career and my hobbies. I’m an avid BBQ enthusiast, constantly chasing the perfect brisket. One day, I’ll enter a competition and hopefully not get laughed off the judging table. Until then, I’ll be in my backyard, surrounded by smoke, meat thermometers, and bad decisions.
Professionally, I got my start as a sysadmin at IBM, which taught me the joy of 2 a.m. server issues and the art of quiet panic. Now, I work as a Technology Consultant at Xamin, helping companies assess, secure, and future-proof their environments. I specialize in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and I work with everyone from community banks and federal agencies to businesses just trying to keep up.
Basically, if it plugs in or logs data, I’m interested—and if I can explain it in plain English while making you laugh a little, even better.
I’m always asking how things work—and how to make them work better. This blog is powered by curiosity, caffeine, and the occasional AI rabbit hole.
From breaking stuff to fixing it better, I learn by doing—and I share what I learn so you can skip the trial-and-error part.
Whether it’s AI, cloud, or consulting—my focus is making technology make sense for real people and real problems.
